“Due to medical issues, my parents moved to Northwesterly Assisted Living Community 5 years ago.  It has been a very rewarding experience for both my parents and us.  We know that they are well taken care of and secure. The care could not be better. After Dad passed away, it was very comforting for Mom to be living in such a caring and loving community.  The staff is second to none. The facility has just gone through a complete renovation and is not an institution, but truly a home.”

“Living at Northwesterly is a home away from home. Every holiday is honored throughout the year and we have entertainment scheduled, so we have no time to get bored. If you have a need for assisted living, Northwesterly is the place to be.”

"One of the many features that set Northwesterly apart is our unique Community Live-In Manager Program. Our Wellness Director and I are residents, living in the community and sharing our lives with the seniors we are dedicated to serving. Northwesterly residents are my extended family. I look forward to seeing them in the morning when I wake-up and at night when I go to sleep. Living with them has changed my life. And their families take great comfort knowing that I am a caregiver, neighbor and friend."

“My wife and I moved into the Northwesterly eight months ago. My wife was in the early stages of memory loss and our three children thought it was best if we did something before it got worse. I’m still active in the community and can still drive my car. The people here do have transportation available to them for shopping, medical appointments and special activities. It was a change to be sure. The apartments are furnished with one’s own furniture. I think this makes one feel as though home is still part of you. All meals are good, but if someone doesn’t like the menu, the kitchen then goes out of their way to satisfy you. Aides are helpers for those who can’t do things for themselves. Some here need more help than others. Getting acquainted for us has been easy. It does not seem to take long before new people are connected to each other. There are numerous activities to get involved in, if one chooses to do so. I would suggest encouraging anyone coming in to GET INVOLVED in the activities. They are for resident’s participation. I personally don’t think many of the people that can, don’t participate. The surroundings outside are sunny and shady with lounge chairs, on two sides of the building. This makes it seem more homey. Check out the garden.”

"I have been working with senior citizens for over 20 years.  During this time period, 20 to 30 of our church members have chosen The Northwesterly for their home.  Even though each has had very different personalities and backgrounds, each one has enjoyed his or her time at The Northwesterly.  Residents have many options of activities that they may choose to participate in. Several aids have been at The Northwesterly since it opened in 1989 and are devoted in their care of the residents.  The Northwesterly also offers respite care for short periods of time when family members are out of town.  The administrators welcome visits from prospective seniors."
